After deciding to a undergo a complete rebrand of all my design and development related activities (previously known as 433design) I knew that it was the best time to write out some guidelines around the use of my new brand.

Goals of the Guidelines

  • To establish a set of rules around the colour, size, and usage of the logo and associated elements.
  • To define a set of colours to be used as part of the brand.
  • To define a set of fonts to be used for both web and print purposes.
  • To develop a set of templates, such as letterhead, invoices, business cards.

The Guidelines

These are to be treated simply as guidelines, there will be things that they don’t cover initially, and there will be occasions where an application of the brand is unable to meet the specifications set out within these guidelines. These cases will be treated individually, andin most situations the brand is flexible (within reason) so long as it does not break the guidelines completely.

The guidelines have been broken down into separate pages for each area, which can be easily accessed from the menu on the left.
